The RIS S system provides a three dimensional view of the soil and can be used for a wide variety of detection and mapping applications. The easy to use industrial operational procedures combined with an antenna array and multichannel features make it an ideal instrument for utility detection.
RIS S is generally used with an array of IDS/TR 400 MHz antennas and its configuration is designed to be easily varied to include antennas operating in both in monostatic and bistatic modes. If required, this system can also be configured with different frequency antennas such as 200, 400 and 600 MHz.
Used together with the processing and interpretation software packages, IDSGRED/IN/ROAD and IDSGEOMAP, this system permits the interactive display of multi GPR sections and tomographic maps, and operation in a CAD environment. A relational data base manages the collected data. The software is used to generate a final 3D CAD cartographic map showing both surface evidence and the GPR interpretation.
