GeoRadar Division Overview

The GeoRadar division has been developed by exploiting core company know-how in Radar System analysis and design, along with Applied Electromagnetics to create innovative Radar Systems for applications in remote, non-destructive fields of investigation such as:

• Civil and structural engineering;
• Geology, geophysics and the environment;
• Archeology and cultural heritage;
• Public security and law enforcement.

The GeoRadar Division's mission is to adapt the essence of the advanced technologies used in Space and Defence radar systems to compact, portable systems, bringing benefits to users operating in these fields of application.

The GeoRadar Division designs, produces and commercialises the following products:

• Ground Penetrating Radar products;
• IBIS Interferometric Radar products.

 

Ground Penetrating Radars

IDS designs and manufactures Ground Penetrating Radars (GPR), offering the most advanced multi-channel, multi-frequency systems available on the market.

IDS was the first to introduce the array concept to GPR technology, permitting the 3D reconstruction of underground images.

IBIS Interferometric Radar products

An innovative and unique set of radar products for static and dynamic monitoring of small movements of terrain (slopes, landslides, subsidence etc.) and structures (bridges, buildings, historical monuments etc.). The revolutionary IBIS product is based on microwave interferometry, providing the remote, continuous, real-time measurement of sub-millimeter displacements over large areas up to a distance of several kilometers.
