IDS has released its updated version of its EMACS software: Version 05.02. The main points covered by this version are the following:

EMACS whole system

    • Certified for FPDAM and AeroCAD v. 8.2.0 and 8.3.0
    • Remove the dependence from Intergraph ZICSO license file

Basic Coverage

    • The definition of the antenna electrical pointing has been changed. Now there are two parameters: one defines the electric bearing along the azimuth plane and the other along the elevation plane. Both planes are mutually exclusive
    • The terrain model visualization in Microstation XM is now considerably faster than in the previous version
    • It is now possible visualizing, in a single session, multiple tiles of terrain models
    • When a new antenna is created by inheritance from an existing model, it is now possible assigning a frequency value different from the starting antenna model
    • The display result function is now available from the EMACS analysis browser: if one analysis is selected, it is possible to activate

ILS

    • It is now possible to execute ILS DDM analysis using the numerical analysis technique known as Method-Of-Moments (MoM)
    • It is now possible to execute on full ILS analysis (including approach and roll-out) in one simulation run

MLTR

    • The definition of the scan coordinates is now possible also by selection of a polygon place on the active DGN file
