Samwoh Corporation (Samwoh), a leading civil and integrated engineering company in Singapore, recently acquired the IDS ground penetrating radars to further extend their technical research and development capabilities. With these newly acquired radars, Samwoh is now able to conduct non-destructive investigation and locating services for its own construction projects as well as for others.
   

Ground penetrating radar is becoming an important component necessary for improving safety and productivity in the construction industry. Samwoh, after attending the IDS professional training in Singapore, were able to immediately start operating the Aladdin and Detector Duo systems to examine both concrete structures and asphalt pavements.

The Aladdin is used to detect and interpret the condition and integrity of concrete, including the position and exact depth of tendons and rebars in bridges throughout Singapore. The Detector Duo will primarily be put to use to detect and protect utilities and underground assets before drilling and excavation, primary in the construction and utilities industries.
